Dr. C. B. Ogunnika is a Chief Technologist in the Department. He coordinates the day-to-day activities in the tree nursery and departmental forest plantations. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Plant Resources Management and has worked relentlessly in designing and establishing trial plots of indigenous and exotic tree species in the departmental plantation site. He supervises field staff and organises students for excellent performance in field practicals. He conducts practical classes in forest biology, agroforestry, silviculture and forest survey.

Mr. Jacob Mayowa Owoyemi is a Chief Technologist in the Department. He coordinates the day-to-day activities in the Wood Workshop. He holds a Master of Agricultural Technology (M. Agric.Tech.) degree in Wood Products Technology and he is currently carrying out his doctoral research work on preservative treatments of Gmelina arborea wood against subterranean termites attack. Mr. Owoyemi has immense ability and competence in organizing and motivating students for excellent performance in their practical work in the Wood Workshop. He conducts practical classes in Wood Seasoning and Preservation, Basic Properties of Wood, Wood Harvesting and Transportation, Furniture Design and Finished Wood Products.

Mr. Oluleye, James is a Chief Technologist in the Department. He is the pioneer coordinator of the FUTA Apprenticeship Programme in Carpentry and Joinery. He is attached to the Wood Workshop unit of the Department where he participates in conducting practical training for students.

 

 

 Mrs. Dafiewhare, Helen Bamidele is a Senior Technologist in the Department. She holds National and Higher National Diplomas in Chemistry/Biochemistry from the Nigeria Institute of Science Technology’s (N.I.S.T.). She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Chemistry. Mrs. Dafiewhare is a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Science Laboratory Technology. She is a valuable asset to students and staff in the conduct of laboratory practicals.

 

 

   

Mr. Akinboboye, Sunday is a Senior Technical Instructor in the Department. He is involved in handling students’ practical classes in Finished Products of Wood and Furniture Design and Manufacture. He is an instructor in the Craft Training Programme of the University.

 

 

MRS. Akinsulire is the Departmental Secretary.  She holds a Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos. She coordinates the affairs of the departmental office and serves as secretary to departmental meetings.

 

MISS Aladesuyi, Adejoke Florence is a Senior Typist II in the Department. She assists the Departmental Secretary in carrying out secretarial duties in the Department.

 

MISS Akinwonmi, Folasade Caroline is a Laboratory Supervisor in the Department. She holds a Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology (Physics/Electronics) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science.  She is in charge of the Biometrics Laboratory where she assists in coordinating students’ practicals in computer training, statistical analysis and GIS analysis.

 

MRS. Mrs. Olugbamiye, Elizabeth Tayo is a Laboratory Assistant in the Department. She holds a National Diploma from Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.  She assists in the forestry wet lab and nursery operations.

 

Mr. Mr. Idume, Ibe is a Laboratory Assistant in the Department. He is one of the staff in the Wood Workshop where he assists the technologists in general workshop practices and all bench works.

 

Mr. AKAZUE, Afamefume Moses is a Craftsman in the Department. He is one of the staff in the Wood Workshop where he assists the technologists in general workshop practices and all bench works.

 

Mr. EKUNDAYO, Modupe is a Craftsman in the Department. He is one of the staff in the Wood Workshop where he assists the technologists in general workshop practices and all bench works.
