Instruction to Authors

Manuscript submission

  1. Manuscripts, which should be prepared using MS Word, should not exceed twelve (12) typed pages, including title page, tables and figures.
  2. Electronic copy of the manuscript should be sent (as attachment) to ffpn_info@yahoo.com, Onyekwelujc@yahoo.co.uk or vajadekunle@yahoo.com.
  3. E-mail address and phone number of first author should be provided for easy communication.

Deadline

Manuscript and registration fee should be received by Friday, 14th March, 2008. Manuscripts without conference registration fee will not be processed.

Conference registration fees and membership dues

Conference Registration fee and membership dues of N5,000.00 must accompany submitted manuscript. The Conference Registration fee (N3,500.00) will be paid by participant who does not submit manuscript or is co-author either before or on the day of Conference. Payment should either be by cash (payment in person in Akure) or through online transfer into any UBA bank nationwide. The account details are given below.

Guidelines for manuscript preparation

Prospective contributors are required to use the following guidelines in preparing their manuscripts:

  1. type using double line spacing from abstract to the references.
  2. Font should be Times New Roman while font size of 12 should be used
  3. type on only one side of white A4 paper (21 x 29.7 cm) with 2.5 cm margins on all the sides of the paper.
  4. manuscript pages should be numbered consecutively
  5. manuscript should be arranged in the following orders: Title page (containing title of the paper, name(s) of author(s) and their affiliation(s) as well as an indication of the corresponding author), Abstract (not more than 300 words and containing keywords for easy referencing), Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement (if necessary), References, Tables and Figures . The reference must include authors, year of publication, full title of paper, journal, volume and page numbers. Journal title should be italicized.
  6. each sectional heading should be bold and left justified. The text should begin on the next line after each heading.
  7. the manuscript may contain as many tables, figures and plates as possible, as long as the paper does not exceed twelve (12) pages. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively, given suitable caption and cited within the text.
  8. mathematical symbols and formulae should be numbered consecutively within the text. Uncommon and ambiguous symbols should be explained.
  9. for units of measurements, use the international system of units (SI). The author should also provide alternate units in parentheses for the convenience of readers who are not yet versed in the use of S. I. Units
