Instruction to Authors

Original research/review papers are invited from interested participants in any of above sub-themes. Papers will be subjected to peer-preview. Accepted papers will be published in the Book of Proceedings, which will be available at the conference venue.

Manuscript submission

  • Manuscripts, which should be prepared using MS Word, should not exceed twelve (12) typed pages, including title page, tables and figures.
  • Electronic copy of the manuscript should be sent (as attachment) to ffpn_info@yahoo.com, onyekwelujc@yahoo.co.uk  or vajadekunle@yahoo.com
  • E-mail address and phone number of first author should be provided for easy communication.

 

Deadline

Manuscripts should be received by Friday, 26th March, 2010.

The Conference Registration fee (which automatically include membership due) is ten thousand naira (N10,000.00) only. Participants who register on or before 2nd April 2010 will get a discount of N1,000. Payment should either be by cash (payment in person in Akure) or through online transfer into savings account No: 03830520004809, UBA FUTA Branch, Account name: Dr. Adekunle, V.A.J. in any UBA bank nationwide. Send scanned copy of the payment teller via email to ffpn_info@yahoo.com.

Guidelines for manuscript preparation

Prospective contributors are required to use the following guidelines in preparing their manuscripts:

  • type using double line spacing from abstract to references;
  • font should be Times New Roman while font size of 12 should be used;
  • type on only one side of white A4 paper with 2.5 cm margins on all the sides of the paper;
  • manuscript pages should be numbered consecutively;
  • manuscript should be arranged in the following orders: Title page (containing paper title, author(s) name(s) and their affiliation(s) with an indication of the corresponding author), Abstract (not more than 300 words and containing about five keywords), Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement (if necessary), References, Tables and Figures. Reference must include author(s), year of publication, title of paper, journal, volume and page numbers.  
  • each sectional heading should be bold and left justified. The text should begin on the next line after each heading.
  • manuscript may contain as many tables, figures and plates as possible, as long as the paper does not exceed twelve (12) pages. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively, given suitable caption and cited within the text.
  • mathematical symbols and formulae should be numbered consecutively within the text. Uncommon and ambiguous symbols should be explained.
  • use the international system of units (SI). Author should also provide alternate units in parentheses for the convenience of readers who are not yet versed in the use of S. I. Units.
